The useful question when buying a kitchen faucet is whether a particular model fits your installation and has clear product information. A list of supposedly bad brands cannot answer that. This WOWOW buying checklist helps you spot missing evidence, ask better questions and compare individual faucets without relying on unsupported rankings.
Red flag 1: the dimensions you need are missing
A photograph can show the general shape, but it cannot confirm mounting-hole size, maximum deck thickness, spout reach or handle clearance. Record those measurements at your sink and compare them with a dimensioned drawing. Overall height alone is not enough: a faucet can fit below a shelf yet place the water stream too close to the back of the bowl.
If a listing only says “standard size,” ask for the actual installation requirements. Do not order adapters or drill additional holes on that description alone.
Red flag 2: materials and finishes are mixed together
Words such as chrome, black and brushed nickel can describe appearance without identifying the material beneath it. Ask which component a material claim refers to: the body, spout, spray head, hose or mounting hardware. A statement about one component should not be read as a specification for the entire assembly.
Similarly, a certification claim needs to identify the applicable model and the supporting documentation. A logo in a photograph or a claim about a different faucet is not enough to establish the specification of the one in your cart.
Red flag 3: the package contents are unclear
Check the parts list against your installation. A deck plate, separate sprayer, supply connector or soap dispenser shown in a lifestyle image may not be included in every variant. Confirm the connection sizes and whether the stated hose length provides a usable route to your shutoff valves without strain.
- Write down the exact model and finish selection.
- Compare the included parts with the installation manual.
- Identify any separate accessories before calculating the total cost.
Red flag 4: support information cannot be checked
Before purchase, find the installation instructions, support contact and current return and warranty terms. Read the terms for the seller and product you will actually use; marketplace and direct-store purchases can involve different processes. Ask how to identify a compatible replacement spray head or cartridge if that matters to your decision. Do not assume every visually similar replacement part will fit.
Use reviews as questions to investigate
A review can highlight an issue worth checking, but it may describe another size, finish, installation or version. Look for a clear model reference and an explanation of the circumstances. A complaint about a hose catching under a sink calls for a cabinet-clearance check; it does not by itself prove that every faucet from the brand has the same defect.
Save your comparison notes and unresolved questions. When browsing WOWOW kitchen faucets, use the model-specific details alongside the installation instructions. Send missing measurements or component questions to WOWOW support before deciding. A documented fit is a more useful basis for purchase than a blanket brand verdict.
