“In the eighties, Muxin and I often wandered here (at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York). Once he suddenly had a very proud look on his face and looked up to me and said: Chinese artifacts, Chinese sculpture, the maturity and elegance of which came up to be unique in the world.”
This is not only because Chinese art, classical art is unique in the field of aesthetics, but also because of the oriental beauty, which contains thousands of years of Chinese cultural heritage and self-confidence. The design language is derived from the ancient architecture that came through, and the unique oriental flavor is expressed in Nanning in the culture of ground drums and artisanal carvings.

Just like the world was shocked by the “Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains”, the emergence of C&D Yangzhi is also the same with the elegant people at first sight.
History, culture and art are to be remembered. When you enter the vestibule, you can see an art installation in the room, which is the wonderful work of the space. The whole space is simple, pure and close to nature, with the main color of ink and blue and the warmth of logs. The glass curtain wall incorporates natural light. Powerful beauty and flowing rhythm mingle in the room, and time seems to be slowed down as reality and emptiness come together.

From the confidence of national culture
Bronze drums were important symbols of wealth and power for the minority groups in southern and southwestern China in ancient times, and were used as ceremonial instruments and war drums. This bronze drum is decorated with a five-baht coin pattern on its surface and circumference, expressing people’s good wishes for wealth and prosperity. This shows the close relationship between the southwestern ethnic groups and the Han Chinese in terms of economic interaction and cultural integration at that time.

As a cultural exporter, the designer accommodates the culture of Guangxi Zhuang drums in the core of the space. This is a mapping of people’s lifestyle and artistic pursuit in the present time and place, and a reflection of “cultural confidence”.
Yuanhe Daqian uses modern technology and sculpting techniques to make the “five baht bronze drum” travel through the space, recreating the classic and local culture.
Change of scenery within a stone’s throw
The window is a wonderful way to borrow the view
Through the sculpted wall of empty flowers
To bring in the boundless wind and moon.
With the changing of the seasons,
The scenery changes
From step to step and from scene to scene
The unique oriental aesthetic is created.
Pine evokes the humanistic consciousness in the oriental vocabulary, as Li Bai once exclaimed, “How many thousands of years do you know when a clear spring reflects a sparse pine?” Ancient writers loved pine trees, a testimony of the passage of time, firm and reliable.
The fusion of old and new recreates the rhythm of spatial symmetry
The ancient art of wood carving blends with the new architecture to feel the infinite charm of traditional habitat. 400 years old wood carving architecture comes through as a witness of the vicissitudes. Its warm and stable form and material through the years are just like the skeleton of the traditional oriental civilization that lasts forever. Every corner presents an ancient and mellow posture, bringing a shocking visual impact.
The space layout is symmetrical up and down, and the furnishings echo left and right. This is just like inheriting the Chinese aesthetic “compulsion”, which is used in today’s design, but the shock is still the same.
The rise and fall of the structure within the building creates a unique rhythmic beauty. The furniture is a combination of oriental charm, poetic interpretation and the pursuit of fine carving. The warm materials and colors of the fabrics mingle with the outdoor landscape, weaving together a memory of time that can be touched.
Each floral installation symbolizes vitality and creates an atmosphere of spring with the dead wood with the century-old carvings, germinating and growing in the intersection of old and new, dramatically generating the visual focus of the space. The designer has incorporated flower appreciation, painting, tea making and poetry writing into the details, unconsciously using the space to design and guide the contemporary return of elegant life.
