How to Clean Different Faucet Finishes
Different faucet finishes need different care. Using the wrong cleaner can scratch, dull, or even peel the finish.
Chrome
Chrome is durable and easy to clean. Use mild soap and warm water, then dry with a microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive pads.
Brushed Nickel
Brushed nickel hides fingerprints well. Clean with a soft cloth and mild soap. Rinse and dry to prevent water spots.
Matte Black
Matte black is stylish but can show hard water spots. Wipe it dry after each use and clean with a gentle, non-abrasive cleaner.
Champagne Bronze / Brushed Gold
Use mild soap and warm water only. Avoid ammonia, bleach, and scrubbing pads, which can damage the warm finish.
Oil-Rubbed Bronze
Oil-rubbed bronze is forgiving and hides water spots. Clean gently with mild soap and dry with a soft cloth.
